STIFTINGA SEVERINBRAUTA

Stiftinga Severinbrauta operates a protected cultural heritage site in Eidsdal, Norway, preserving a pre-industrial smallholder's farm (husmannsplass) that remained virtually unchanged from the 1870s until the last resident, Nelly Veiberg, died in 1995. The site features an intact smoke cottage, reconstructed living quarters, and 6.3 decares of cultural landscape including terraced meadows, orchards, and herb gardens. It safeguards an exceptional collection of textiles, everyday objects, photographs, and letters documenting rural Norwegian life across more than a century.
