Mercy Ships Norge is the Norwegian branch of Mercy Ships, a Christian humanitarian organization operating the world's largest civilian hospital ships in sub-Saharan Africa. They provide free life-changing surgeries and medical care to people in low-income countries lacking access to healthcare, while simultaneously training local surgeons and nurses. Funded by donations and staffed by volunteers, they have reached over 1 million people through 50,000+ surgeries and 300,000+ dental treatments since 1978.
